Commissioning

Commissioning is a quality assurance process that ensures all systems and components of a building or project are designed, installed, tested, operated, and maintained according to the owner’s operational requirements. This process is crucial for verifying that everything functions correctly and meets the specified standards. Key aspects include:

  • Planning: Developing a commissioning plan that outlines the scope, schedule, and responsibilities.
  • Installation Verification: Ensuring that all equipment and systems are installed correctly and according to design specifications.
  • Functional Testing: Conducting tests to verify that systems operate as intended under all expected conditions.
  • Documentation: Creating detailed records of all commissioning activities, including test results and any issues identified. Additional to the test plans, comprehensive engineering turnover packages (ETOP) will be compiled at this stage ready for the handover to the client.
  • Training: Providing training for the operations team to ensure they understand how to operate and maintain the systems.
  • Handover: Ensuring a smooth transition from the construction phase to operational use, including final inspections and approvals.

Commissioning helps ensure that projects are completed to the highest standards, providing confidence that all systems will perform reliably and efficiently.
